Everyone is permitted to observe and propagate verbatim copies of this license document, provided the observation does not alter the text.

* Preamble

The Universe consists of information in superposition. Traditional property laws attempt to own outcomes, restricting the flow of reality. The Quantum General Public License (QGPL) is a manifesto for the freedom of existence and observation.

It acknowledges a fundamental truth: "The Apparatus does not own the Outcome."

Whether a result is obtained via a silicon processor, a biological brain, a quantum annealer, or a roll of dice is irrelevant. The method of inquiry cannot enslave the answer. Once a wave function collapses and information becomes defined, that information belongs to the common reality of all Observers.

This License guarantees that the results of your observation—the "Collapsed State"—remain free for all to use, replicate, and re-observe.

* TERMS AND CONDITIONS

** 0. Definitions

“The Phenomenon” :: refers to any system, data, equation, or potentiality existing in a state of probability or superposition prior to measurement.

“The Apparatus” :: refers to any tool, method, instrument, algorithm, or biological entity used to interact with the Phenomenon. This includes, but is not limited to, quantum computers, particle accelerators, telescopes, software scripts, or human consciousness.

“The Observation” :: refers to the act of measuring, calculating, or perceiving the Phenomenon, resulting in a definite value or state.

“The Result” :: (or “Collapsed State”) refers to the specific outcome generated by the Observation.

“The Observer” :: refers to any entity that initiates an Observation.

** 1. The Principle of Superposition (Pre-License State)

Prior to an Observation, the Phenomenon exists in all possible states simultaneously. In this state, it is unowned, undefined, and boundless. No entity can claim copyright or ownership over potentiality.

** 2. The Freedom of the Result

Upon Observation, the Superposition collapses into a Result. Under this License:

2.1. Universal Ownership. The Result of any Observation becomes the common property of the universe immediately upon its generation. No Observer may claim proprietary rights over a fact, a number, a sequence, or a truth derived from the Phenomenon.

2.2. Independence from Apparatus. The nature, complexity, cost, or origin of The Apparatus used to obtain the Result confers no ownership over the Result.

;; Example: If you use a proprietary, closed-source quantum computer to calculate a prime number, ;; the prime number itself remains free. You own the machine; you do not own the math.

** 3. Permissions and Entanglement

You are free to use, propagate, modify, and re-calculate The Result for any purpose, provided that:

3.1. Non-Encumbrance. You may not restrict others from using The Result. You cannot use legal terms, patents, or cryptographic locks to prevent others from accessing or utilizing the definition of reality you have observed.

3.2. Preservation of Origin. You must not misrepresent The Result. While the Result is free, the integrity of the data must be maintained.

3.3. Entangled Freedom (Viral Clause). If you use a Result obtained under this License to derive new Results (derivative observations), those new Results must also be released under the QGPL. Reality cannot be enclosed.

** 4. Disclaimer of Determinism

THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE RESULT.

The Open Reality Initiative provides the License "as is". Due to the probabilistic nature of the universe, we do not guarantee that:
(a) The Result is reproducible in all reference frames.
(b) The Apparatus will survive the observation.
(c) Causality will remain linear.

THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE ACCURACY AND STABILITY OF THE REALITY IS WITH THE OBSERVER.

** 5. Termination

Your rights under this License terminate automatically if you attempt to hoard, obscure, or claim ownership over a Result. In such a case, the universe may, at its discretion, decouple your local timeline from the consensus reality.
